In Australia, employers must ensure workers who are required to perform, or help in performing, electrical work are competent in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with recognised practices in the electrical industry.  To meet Australian standards, employees are to conduct a safe rescue of a casualty who has received an electric shock or other injury while working on a low voltage panel and for maintaining currency in Performing rescue for a live LV Panel (LVR) every 12 months and present their LVR card to the employer.

This Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in strategies and procedures (required by law) to: manage danger of accidental electrocution; perform rescue; as well as perform CPR on a person who has stopped breathing.  Specifically, you will learn the: risk management process; risk assessment; risk priorities for live electrical work; electrical hazards and causes for injury; safety planning; and low voltage rescue.

What will I receive upon completion? 

You will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment and Course Results.  You will be qualified to perform CPR and hold currency for 12months, according to the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

What else might I find useful? 

You will remain current to perform PCPR and PRLLP (LVR) for 12 months.
