HLTAID001 Provide CPR (PCPR)

 

 

Did you know that every workplace has a legal responsibility for ensuring adequate first aid provisions?  According to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death for adults in Australia.  While millions of people have been trained to perform CPR, most Australians do not know how to perform the technique correctly.  CPR provided immediately after cardiac arrest can double or triple the chance that a person will survive.

This Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in CPR, a life saving technique used on a person who has experienced sudden cardiac arrest (the cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the heart to contract effectively).  You will also learn to: respond to signs of an unconscious casualty; perform CPR and communicate details of the incident to medical authorities.

Sound English - spoken and written.

What will I receive upon completion? 

You will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment and Course Results.  You will be qualified to perform CPR and hold currency for 12 months, according to the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
