Occupational First Aid
Did you know that every workplace has a legal responsibility for ensuring adequate first aid provisions? Accidents are a part of everyday life, including your place of work. First aid is the earliest and the easiest response - even you as a bystander can assist a casualty in need. While millions of people are trained in applying basic first aid, many Australians do not know how to perform basic of first aid management. Applying effective first aid response to accidents, injuries and illnesses, you can assist a person to a speedy recovery, or ultimately save their life.
Occupational First Aid deals with the provision of advance first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance, and provision support to other providers. This course also addresses the establishment and maintenance of facilities to enable or facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace.
Occupational First Aid incorporates: HLTAID008 Manage First Aid Services and Resources; HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid; and HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation Techniques.
What topics will I learn?

What will I receive upon completion?
You will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment for HLTAID008 Manage First Aid Services and Resources l HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid l HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation.
You will be qualified to provide advanced first aid response and hold currency for 3 years. You will also be required to refresh this qualification every 12 months by completing HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and HLTAID001 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.
