This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to establish, maintain and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace. .

This skill set provides a set of skills to establish, maintain and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in a workplace environment, including the skills to provide an emergency first aid response in the event of an emergency.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. The unit applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings. Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings.
Specific licensing requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.

This Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in CPR, a life saving technique used on a person who has experienced sudden cardiac arrest (the cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the heart to contract effectively).  You will also learn to: respond to signs of an unconscious casualty; perform CPR and communicate details of the incident to medical authorities.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011). Specific licensing requirements, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and/or relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.

This Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in applying first aid response to: preserve life; prevent further harm, promote recovery; and protect the unconscious.  You will also learn to: assess the situation for danger; apply various first aid procedures; communicate details of the incident; and self-evaluate your performance for continuous improvement as a qualified first aider.
 

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

The Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in applying first aid response in an education and care setting to preserve life, prevent further harm, promote recovery and protect the unconscious.
This unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
